1 Assignment Per Week, Lowest Dropped (20%)
2 Midsemester Exams (25% each)
1 Final Exam (30%)
Late policy
Each student is permitted 5 "late days" to use as they see fit. As the name suggests, an assignment that is submitted past its due date will be docked one late day per day submitted beyond its due date. If all late days are exhausted, grades for late assignments will be automatically reduced by a fixed percentage each day (to be decided very soon), and after 5 days, will receive no credit. Don't use up more than your late days!
Assignments which are submitted late should clearly indicate how many late days were used (we'll check, of course).
Teamwork
You are not allowed to do teamwork during exams or homework assignments; however you may always ask the TA or the instructor for hints.
To help you in the course, the TA will have office hours set up to provide you with assistance. You may stop in during office hours or by appointment; however, it should be clear that the TA is available only to provide assistance - not to work on the homework with you.
